Steps to Reproduce

  1. Guaranteed - Select spawn as any Tupandactylus
  2. Die Via: Dehydration/starvation in air, Collide with the ground, Any general death without flight works the same
  3. Attempt to spawn as any asset - Become locked in place regardless of any changes made on the customization screen
  4. Rejoin the server, issue resolved until repeated again

Explanation

  • Flier death [Or Ragdolling Before/sometimes upon death] results in any asset being locking in place, after choosing to play again as another asset.

After dying as a flying creature, or [generally a ragdolling death like fall damage] - Assets become locked in place when you try to play as another one. Cannot do anything. This stays true even after a second death or menuing. Must leave the game entirely and rejoin to fix. Dying via fall damage with momentum = locking, but sometimes if there is no momentum upon fall damage death it does not.
[Saved assets are safe after menuing and rejoining.]

[NOTE] > Sometimes after asset death, still displays the "Save file" instead of creating a new asset. May have a correlation to the locking.

Main Asset for testing: Tupandactylus.
> Attempted death via dehydration while flying
> Attempted death without flying at all, still yielded same "locked" result
> Repeated Text issue appears and states: "Visible?" / + Sometimes "No Root Part"
> Two attempts both locked the asset into place and stopped all stats from draining. - Unsure on more information about this issue, but related.
> Attempted to play as any other asset after the locking - Yielded same result, could not move as any of the other assets.
> Attempted to die via immediate fall damage beforehand as a regular asset, [did not lock anything]
> Attempted to die via immediate fall damage with momentum, locked result
> Attempted to ragdoll as a regular asset first, THEN die, yielded locked result
> Dying as a flying creature in general, without ragdolling [Tupandactylus] causes same locking result

  • End of testing.
