Steps to Reproduce

1. Be swimming while holding the tool
2. Keep yourself on the surface as much as possible
3. Slowly swim onto land with the arm that is holding the head of the hatchet touching the ground

Explanation

Swimming out of water sideways while holding the hatchet lets you swim on land as long as you remain flat on your arm.
