Steps to Reproduce

1. install the game
2. click launch

Explanation

Splitgate 2 fails to launch on linux after the big update on june 7th.

Now, when steam is open, clicking the green launch game button will cause the color of the button to change and changes the text to indicate that the game should be running. At this point i would have expected the game to launch, and a window to appear. Instead though, nothing happens, and the button to launch the game changes color back to green, stating "launch game" again.

The hardware I am playing this on consists of a ryzen 5 7600 CPU, 32gb of ram, and an rx 7600 GPU. The underlying operating system is Pop!_os, running an up to date version of steam.
