Thanks for reaching out. If you don't mind, please submit a ticket to our Player Support Hub https://support.splitgate.com/hc/en-us/requests/new They should be able to assist with non-gameplay related issues and work to get this resolved for you as soon as they can.

I have made multiple tickets since the last alpha regarding this issue and I spent the good part of the beta and just yesterday with player support just for them to tell me the best option is to probably play with vpn. So for some reason splitgate has servers that are just different from every other game I have played that in the passed 7 years that I just can’t connect with WiFi, mobile hotspot or Ethernet

And the fact you are directing me to player support is funny because they directed me to submit a bug here. So both places aren’t helping at all. This is not just a me problem, check your beta bugs and community posts on steam people also have this problem. I could play the very first alpha Yall did someone with networking and just completely botched it for some people.

Imagine how many people downloaded the game but they just can’t get in because for same reason. Not everyone is gonna be like me and play with a vpn because they don’t even know and I don’t know how much longer I will play like this because the experience is already terrible. I’m a west African gamer connecting to eu servers that I now have to add additional vpn latency to get into. Like bruh Yall make this a priority

Thanks for letting me know. Apologies that you've been dealing with this for a while! The fact that you're a west African gamer connecting to EU servers is helpful information and can assist us in narrowing down the cause. I've entered this issue into our database and we'll work on getting this resolved for you as soon as we can. We really do appreciate you reaching out about these kinds of issues and hope to get it fixed asap.

The problem isn’t that I’m from Africa people in the US and EU are having the same issue so eu players to eu servers are not connecting. This has nothing to do with where I’m located like I said just check your community board and bug reports I’m not the only person

I play overwatch, titanfall, delta force, cod, apex and every other game with an online space fine so this isn’t a location issue or isp issue from my end

I appreciate that. I didn't mean that that's the cause, it's just helpful info to know so that we can better narrow down the cause. The added details really do help. This issue is in our database with all the details you've given and has been assigned out so we have engineers looking into this as we speak. We really do want to make sure that this gets resolved for you and any other players in your situation so thank you again for keeping in touch about it!

After running some tests myself I may have found the issue. I ran a tracert command on one of the aws servers you guys use to login players and found out in every second hop the request would time out. I ran this on another games server as well and that was also the case but that might have less nat type and ip restrictions than you people which is the standard because I probably have a strict nat type which would cause some traffic to fail like that. I ran this test on a neighbors WiFi and on the vpn I use as well and the second hop ends up pulling through. So in conclusion yall changed the restrictions of ips and your servers handshakes since the very first alpha which is why some people can’t even login to play your game. Please forward this to your tech team. Some places in the world use shared IPs and games these days compensate for this

Thanks very much for this! I'll absolutely pass the info on to our team. I'm glad to hear that you've been able to get into the game and I really appreciate you reaching out again to share you what you learnt from troubleshooting. We'll continue to work on this so that others in your situation don't have to deal with the same hassle. I hope you have a great time gaming, best wishes.

I could always get in, I just had to use a vpn and I still have to. I passed this along because it will help narrow down the issue maybe splitgates server need a longer window before it calls a server time out

Or more lenient restrictions because I have played games wind aws servers and never had this problem so it’s up to you guys to find out what they implemented
