Steps to Reproduce
- Kill an enemy with a sniper rifle, and be rewarded "+100 | KILL".
- Kill an additional enemy, right after the fade out of the "KILL" in "+100 | KILL" ends, and before the "+100" begins to fade.
- Killing any additional enemies should result in no on screen points and kill credit ("+100 | KILL") appearing.
- Restarting the match will fix this issue.
Explanation
There is a bug that causes the kill credit points and kill indicator, that appear as "+100 | KILL" near the crosshair, to disappear, and remain gone for the remainder of the match. When killing enemies, you can stack the points, such as two kills stacked together would show "+200 | KILL" next to your crosshair. The stack timing on these points can be bugged if a kill is earned whilst the fade out of the "KILL" in "+100 | KILL" has occurred, and before the "+100" fades. It seems to be somewhat precise, but can be replicated whilst using a sniper rifle somewhat easily.
When shooting the sniper rifle as quickly as possible, the points will always stack. However, the stack timer is slightly longer than the time it takes to shoot the sniper rifle more than once after pulling back the bolt. This means that you can be slightly slower, and still stack the kill credit points higher. However, if you get a kill, and the "+100 | KILL" appears, then get another kill right after the word "KILL" fades away, it will then bug your points and kill credit reward on screen, causing it to disappear.
I feel this is some type of script bug, where the script for the fade out time of the word "KILL", and the start of the fade out for the "+100" (which also lines up with the end of the point stack timing), causes the script for displaying the "+100 | KILL" to become nulled, thus resulting in the points disappearing for the remainder of the match.
