Steps to Reproduce

  1. Play BR from Japan
  2. Experience the terrible choppiness

Explanation

In BR mode, my game is very choppy, despite high FPS. It feels fine in Arena mode. It's exactly what server lag feels like in other games, especially FPS games. I live in Tokyo, Japan but match with Americans (based on voice chat and the steam profiles of people I've played with). Server selection (which seems to be auto only) seems to not work whatsoever.
