Explanation

I'm gonna be honest, the Battle Royal idea is just gonna divide the community.. we didn't fall in love with this game for it to go in this direction. It definitely blind sided the community.. plus it's only going to make the queue times for other playlists even longer. I guarantee you this is only going to end badly.. The movement, the maps, the playlists, the fast queue times, they are all amazing.. You coulda just added a new map or 2, maybe some new guns, throw in a goofy limited time party game mode for s**** a giggles. or maybe a Free For All playlist or some other side content you can do with friends... let us explore your world in other creative and interesting ways with the mechanics YOU made. Don't just limit yourself to condensing it to 1 new map with the "Battle Royal" copy and paste slapped on it. It just seems like a lazy way to try and get new players from other BR games to try your game? Even though your current player base never asked for this. I mean there's still people that even prefer Splitgate 1.. I genuinely like this game a lot and I just want to see it's full potential, but I honestly don't think the Battle Royal is the right way to go.. you have so many crazy things you can do in map editor combined with certain playlists that emphasizes and highlights the gunplay and movement that drew us to this game in the first place. I spent over an hour the other day in a custom game where the creator had made a map that worked very similar to a surf map on Counter Strike: Source. Just a long race-like map with slanted islands that we'd have to slide and hop from one to another, all the while gaining speed and having to jump and hover at the right times. Eventually getting to the end where right above you is a ceiling panel that you need to shoot to open a portal and then you go off of a jump that launches you toward another panel that's acting as a vertical wall and so you have to time your next portal on that vertical panel in order to go through it and end up back at the ceiling panel which drops you back at the starting line if you were able to slip through the portal.. you guys literally have endless possibilities. Please don't let it end on Battle Royal
