Explanation

When I'm interacting with the big buildings (not the operators), I find it hard to know how much material they need to be operating at full speed. Looking at the health of the cranes in the efficiency view kinda helps, but it would be REALLY helpful if the big building told me how much stuff it wanted per minute, like the operators do. I only recently figured out that the little crane icon seems to infer the ratio of parts needed relative to each other, but if there's 3 crane icons total, does that mean that I could double each crane and the building would take twice the input and thus make double the output? It's not clear (and I'm not asking rhetorically - right now I'm literally trying to figure it out through brute force experimentation).
