Game Resolution Resets to Default Despite Changes

Steps to Reproduce

1. Launched the game from a clean re-install
2. Wanted to use my new higher resolution
3. Changed it from 1920x1080 to 2560x1440
4. Applied the changes
5. Went back to the main menu to load the game
6. It reverted itself to 1600x900

Explanation

Last time I played the game, I had monitors that ran at 1920x1080, now I have new monitors that run 2650x1440. trying to change it, and it automatically resets itself between 10 seconds to a minute, but now it doesnt even go back to 1080, it always reverts to 1600x900, and the game will not let me change the resolution even after confirming changes, without it reverting on its own, even outside of the options menus.

I run the game on medium
the new monitor is an LG Ultragear 2560x1440 set to 59.95 Hz
