Steps to Reproduce

1. Put dog in backpack
2. Click the slot number with dog as many times as many dogs you want
3. After picking up and placing any dog, the one in your backpack slot disappears
4. All the others stay

Explanation

Dog duplication, you can infinitely duplicate the dog, no other item works
