Unable to Join Friends' Game Due to Version Discrepancy Error

Steps to Reproduce

1. have people in Europe and Asia
2. try to play together on the current game version

Explanation

Cannot join game of friends abroad

Me (Germany, Europe) and my friends (Phillipines, Asia) are trying to play DRG together. We are all using Steam and on the same version "Default Public Version - Last Updated Jan 30, 2026". The other 3 people can play together just fine, when I try to join I get a loading screen, then a single frame showing an error message, then immediately loading back into my own lobby. Error message is: "The server you are trying to join is running another version of the game, try updating your game!"

I have updated and verified my game files several times. We have tried with different hosts too.

Could it be that different game versions have been rolled out on different parts of the world/game servers?

Pause menu confirms the same game version for all of us:
