Steps to Reproduce
- Connect the Xbox Wireless Headset (TLL-00001).
- Launch Deep Rock Galactic.
- The game starts stuttering and experiencing severe lag.
- Disconnect the headset.
- The lag disappears and the game runs normally.
Explanation
I’m experiencing a severe performance issue in Deep Rock Galactic that appears to be directly related to my Xbox Wireless Headset (model TLL-00001), the latest black Xbox Wireless Headset.
When the headset is connected, Deep Rock Galactic starts experiencing severe stuttering/freezing and becomes extremely laggy, sometimes to the point where the game is almost unplayable.
When I completely disconnect the headset, the performance immediately returns to normal and the game runs smoothly again.
The issue appears to be reproducible:
Xbox Wireless Headset (TLL-00001) connected → severe stuttering/lag
Xbox Wireless Headset disconnected → normal performance
No other hardware or game settings are changed between the two tests
This makes me suspect a conflict involving the Xbox Wireless audio drivers, Windows audio settings, or the game’s audio system. In the video, I turned the headphones on and off.
