I've reinstalled the game and restarted twice as well as trying several launch options all to no avail. As well as using restore on NVidia control panel.
Windows 11
Nvidia RTX 3080 (Gainward Phoenix)
AMD ryzen 7 5800X (8core, 16 Threads @ 4.2 GHz)
32GB Ram 3600MT/s

Verifying game files, does nothing unless i delete the intro videos or cloud save both of which have no effect. Also tried running game as administrator from steamapps folder. There is no anti virus installed and the game seems to be an allowed app by windows defender

As already mentioned in comment #2

"There is no anti virus installed and the game seems to be an allowed app by windows defender"

As such the suggested url to try is moot.

Ah sorry i didnt see that. Can you try getting the crash, and in the crash reporter, add your name "Smartay" as a comment and notify me here. I will try and see if i can get more info.

Also, do you have mods installed? either by mod.io or other means?

[ #6 ] 3 months ago by

No mods installed, this was all vanilla. Comments on crash logs added.

smartay are you sure you sent it in? i cannot find any crash with "Smartay"

[ #8 ] 3 months ago by

You need to write it in the comment field when the crasher reporter appears after a crash, then press Send. That way the crash goes to a place i can se additional info

Apologies i thought you meant uploading and attaching the crash reports, i have since submitted for dx 11, 12 and safe mode within the last 5 mins

It could either be because you have too little free disk space, or try running the Steam repair tool, once you have some more space

[ #11 ] 3 months ago by

I had over 300GB free space at the time (with DeepRockGalactic already being installed) I have a single drive which is 1TB in total so there is no confusion between multiple drives. I can free up some space and try steam repair again (I have run this multiple times already) however this seems highly unlikely?

Hm okay, because we looked into the crash and that is the only things that seemed obvious to us, but it is tricky, since there are so many different things that can potentially be your specific issue. But we can rule out that it is the game, it has to do with how the game runs the files, specifically on your machine setup.

ok, well other unreal engine games seem to run fine so for me its more related to the game whether that be how its loaded or otherwise. So do you have any other options? I've followed the few examples given from the numerous other posts all experiencing something similar so i'm running out of ideas

I tagged another crash report with Smartay in the submission after another reinstall the game now starts to load and plays the loading video but hangs on a loading screen before black screening and crashing.

It's been over 3 weeks since a response is this normal practice to just ignore a reply you dont like and just ignore the issue?

[ #16 ] about 2 months ago by

smartay i already replied that unfortunately, I cannot get anything from your crash except that it is related to your installed files, and therefore an issue related to your pc setup, that we cannot fix.

In addition, this is not a support forum and we never claimed it was, therefore you should not expect a reply. It is to collect bugs that the players are reporting.
