Explanation

I was fighting Caretaker. I shot at one if the orange glowie vents a few times. After dealing half health to it it stopped taking damage. I tried shooting another one, same thing, no damage. Then suddenly tentacles started spam spawning. Following suit it spammed repulsion barriers while also spamming electrofields while I was off it's base. I have zero clue how to reproduce. All I know is of the videos I have watched for caretaker fights nothing was similar to my experience. There was like 8 or 10 tentacles and over 15 barriers when I died...
