Explanation
Occasionally and slowly more frequently, most of the game seem to get reset. There is nothing out of the ordinary done to recreate this, and it can happen randomly from having the game closed for more than a few hours. When it happens, opening the game will launch straight into the tutorial, as if the game is being launched for the first time. After finishing or skipping the tutorial, the current save is on level 1 with no progress. All the settings are also reset to default, except mods which needed to be re-downloaded. However, the previous save can thankfully be restored from the save menu.
