Steps to Reproduce

  1. Click
  2. Move player view around rapidly - stuttering ensues
  3. Open & close main menu to fix
  4. Click again, and stuttering returns

Explanation

Problem: screen stutter. Base FPS is 165, but plummets when quickly moving the mouse. Stuttering is triggered by clicking the mouse, and is fixed by opening and closing the main menu (until the mouse is clicked again, and the stuttering returns).

RTX 5080, newest NVIDIA drivers (as of June 22 2025), with Ryzen 7800X3D CPU and 32GB of RAM. Issue has not existed in any other game (e.g., Factorio, Doom: The Dark Ages, The Last of Us Part 1 + II, and 1000xResist among others). All overlays (Discord, NVIDIA, Medal) disabled and stuttering persists. DX11 and DX12 both tested. Fullscreen and Windowed Borderless both tested. VSYNC enabled and disabled both tested. Graphics quality set to Ultra and Low - stuttering exists in all scenarios. Frame generation and upscaling disabled. No mods.

It's a problem specific to the mouse I'm using. Weird.

Using a different mouse and I have no issue. Maybe a hardware problem on the mouse's end? Haven't had a problem with any other game, so I'm not sure what's unique about DRG.

Depending on the mouse, it could be the software for it
