Multiplayer Access Issue Despite Xbox Game Pass Standard Subscription

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Use an Xbox Series X
  2. Play on an account subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Standard
  3. Start up the game
  4. Open the pause menu and see the "Xbox Gold Required to play online" error in the bottom left corner

Explanation

I am unable to play on multiplayer due to the game not recognizing I am subscribed to Xbox Game Pass. I recently downgraded my subscription from Game Pass Ultimate to Game Pass Standard, but that should not affect my ability to play multiplayer.

When I start up the game, I see a message in the bottom left corner of the pause screen that states "Xbox Gold Required to play online". I have confirmed that I am subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Standard, I have tried restarting the game, uninstalling/reinstalling the game, rebooting my Xbox, and logging out and back into my Xbox but have not been able to fix the issue.

I got this working again. I submitted a ticket to Microsoft and was able to get on the phone with someone who cancelled and then reinstated my Game Pass subscription. For some reason that fixed things!
