Explanation

On July 29, 2025, I encountered a critical issue preventing me from joining any Deep Rock Galactic games. Earlier in the day, the game was functioning perfectly, and I was able to join and play without any problems.

The issue began after two specific actions performed on the same day:

• I purchased the Deep Rock Galactic Skullcrusher DLC.

• I updated my Microsoft.VCRedist.2015+.x64 and Microsoft.VCRedist.2015+.x86 packages to version 14.44.35211.0.

Immediately following these actions, any attempt to join a game results in either an 'UNKN' error or an 'HJSCUNK' error, preventing me from playing.

To troubleshoot, I have performed the following steps, but the issue persists:

• VCRedist Reversion: I uninstalled version 14.44.35211.0 of both Microsoft.VCRedist.2015+.x64 and x86, and reinstalled version 14.44.35208.0.

• Mod Disablement: I disabled all active mods for Deep Rock Galactic.

• Security Software: I temporarily disabled my antivirus and firewall to rule out conflicts.

Despite these efforts, I am still unable to join any games.
