Save File Corruption: Normal Save Turns into Sandbox and Progress Lost

Steps to Reproduce

1. It seemed have been caused by using a sandbox mod while on a normal save.
2. Instead of switching to a sandbox save, it used the normal save file.
3. Now, the normal save file cannot be used.

Explanation

I have been having this bug where I cant get my old save file back because its turned into a sandbox save file and I don't know or cant find out how to revert it. Also when I go back to a none sandbox save file it has no progress.
