Special Assignment Missions Not Registering Progress

Steps to Reproduce

1. Join a mission with a white diamond indicating it's the mission for the assignment.
2. Click on the mission and then click join.
3. Join one of the missions presented by the server browser.
4. Select ongoing missions for the assignment, preferably those with a white diamond.
5. Choose missions that have been going on for 10 minutes or less, or even those that haven't started yet.
6. Complete the mission as normal.
7. Return to the hub and check for any notification of progress or completion of the assignment.
8. Verify progress on the assignment board, ensuring it has not changed.
9. Note that this issue occurs at random and is inconsistent but impactful.

Explanation

Sometimes when I complete a mission for a special assignment, it doesn't count as progress for my special assignment and I have to do the mission again. It happens in any special assignment, even ones that don't have any requirements that need to be met and I never play on modded servers.
