Explanation
There has been a bug affecting Springtrap’s footsteps for about six months, starting around the release of The Unknown (La Krasue). His heavy, metallic footsteps now sound weak and unnatural, like crushing a can or wearing normal shoes. This issue also occurs when passing through security doors.
Additionally, the Glitchtrap skin appears to have the opposite problem: its footsteps sound heavy and metallic, even though it should not.
It seems like the footstep audio between Springtrap and Glitchtrap may have been swapped or misconfigured.
This bug significantly impacts gameplay and immersion. Footstep audio is a key part of a killer’s identity and is important for both killers and survivors in terms of awareness and experience.
This issue has been reported multiple times over the past six months, with supporting video evidence, but no fix or acknowledgment has been provided so far.
