Explanation
When I try to launch DBD, as EAC is initializing, I get this error message that forces the game to close.
I've tried all of the following:
I opened the DBD installation folder, found the EasyAntiCheat folder inside, and ran EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe via the Run dialog (Win+R) with the command:
“C:...\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe” install 2b2299be8ae84d69d4dc57c55af1510
I pressed Ctrl+Shift+Enter to run as admin, accepted the UAC prompt, restarted my computer, and relaunched the game. Nothing happened.
I then deleted everything: the EasyAntiCheat folder in the game directory, then the related files in %appdata%. I also performed a full factory reset of the EAC installation via:
EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe qa-factory-reset
Followed by a file verification in Steam to reinstall everything cleanly.
Still not resolved.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the game + completely restarted my PC, but it still doesn't work.
Everything was working fine yesterday. I didn't do anything, no updates or anything, I just got home from work and wanted to launch DBD to play with some friends... Guess I'll just be hanging out on my own tonight.
