Xbox Series X Crashing Mid-Match – Ongoing Issue Since the Update Before Jason’s Release

Dead by Daylight has been repeatedly crashing mid-match on Xbox Series X since the update just before Jason was released. This issue has been reported by numerous players, yet months have passed and it still appears to be unresolved.

The crashes are incredibly frustrating, especially when they result in matchmaking ban penalties for something completely outside the player’s control. We shouldn’t be punished for a technical issue with the game itself, and it’s unacceptable for players to keep losing access to matchmaking because of crashes they didn’t cause.

If the development team is struggling to identify or fix the underlying problem, then at the very least, please introduce a reconnect feature that allows players to rejoin their match after a crash. Obviously, this wouldn’t be a perfect solution, as disconnecting still ruins the experience for everyone involved, but it would at least give players a chance to continue their game without receiving an unfair matchmaking ban.

Players have been dealing with this for months. We need clear communication about whether this issue is being actively investigated, what is being done to resolve it, and when we can realistically expect a fix.

Please address this issue properly. Players shouldn’t have to put up with repeated crashes, lost matches and countless ban penalties because of a problem they have no control over. If a permanent fix isn’t immediately possible, a reconnect feature and protection from crash-related penalties would be a reasonable place to start.
