Random Crashes During Gameplay and Loading Phases in Dead by Daylight

Steps to Reproduce

1. Launch Dead by Daylight through the Xbox app on PC.
2. Play several matches.
3. The game randomly crashes to desktop, either while loading a match or during gameplay.

Explanation

Dead by Daylight keeps randomly crashing to desktop. Sometimes it happens while a match is loading, and sometimes it happens in the middle of a game. It doesn’t happen every match, but it keeps happening when I play several games. I haven’t noticed a consistent trigger.

The latest crash happened while a round was loading and showed this error:

Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x0000000000000060

I play the Microsoft Store / Xbox app version on PC. This has happened multiple times, including before the latest update.

DbD is the only game giving me this problem. Overwatch, WoW, Minecraft, ETS/ATS, and R.E.P.O. run without crashes. I also use this PC for Java and C# development without any issues.

My PC has a Ryzen 9 3900X, an RTX 3080, and 32 GB of RAM. I’m running Windows 11 with NVIDIA driver version 617.14.
