Experimental is the DRG: Rouge Core "public testing ground/kind of early access for upcoming content" beta on Steam, where we, together with you, try to iron out the last kinks and shoot the last bugs before releasing it to live.

HOW TO ACCESS THE EXPERIMENTAL BRANCH

Right-click on Rogue Core in your Steam Library >
Click “Properties..” >
Select “Betas”>
Click the drop-down menu under "Beta Participation">
Select “experimental - WIP build - enter at own risk”

Then wait for the game to update (Restart Steam and/or Verify Game Files to be 100%). And welcome to ~Experimental~!

Note: If you have mods installed, you can expect them to crash the game until the mod have been updated.

The first time you start the Experimental build a new save file will be made for you to play on, so your normal “live” branch save will be safe - and whatever you do on Experimental stays on Experimental.

A "cheat terminal" is located next to the Drop Pod - Feel free to use it for testing purposes.

To return to the regular branch, you just go back into the Beta menu and select "None" from the dropdown, And then let the game update.
