Explanation

Quirks with bots in offline games

  1. Ghost bots returned by IGame.GetActiveUsers()

To reproduce:

  • Start an offline game with 16 slots enabled and place bots in the extra slots.
  • Afterwards, start another offline game with 8 slots without first removing the bots from the extra slots.

The bots from the previous 16-slot game still appear in IGame.GetActiveUsers(), even though they are non-functional.

This stops happening if you create another game again after that.

  1. Bots share the host's UserIdentifier

In offline games, bots appear to share the same UserIdentifier as the host. This causes their chat messages to become global.
