Explanation

Servers disappearing from the Server Browser for long periods
From my understanding, the Steam lobby is deleted and recreated every 60 minutes, starting from when the server is launched. During this process the server disappears from the server browser and cannot be found by the players.

I think that this process should be nearly instantaneous, but it often takes several minutes. Most outages seem to last only a few minutes, but I have occasionally observed much longer delays, the longest being around 40 minutes.

As a test, while my dedicated server (running on a separate machine) was missing from the server browser, I attempted to connect directly via IP address. The connection succeeded, and after joining the server (or when leaving, idk), the server reappeared in the server browser.
