Explanation
The game experiences choppy/laggy performance on both Steam VR and standalone Quest 3, especially noticeable in the Quest version. The Quest version crashes after approximately 2 raids due to RAM or storage issues. The storage/grabbing system is problematic, causing difficulty in putting items into the bag and organizing items mid-dungeon.
This issue was created from the following Discord message:
Ok after playing this game for ≈10+ hours both on steam Vr and standalone quest 3 these are the main issues I’ve ran into.
1) both steam and standalone don’t run super smoothly this is obviously not the final state but it was just noticeabley choppy/ laggy especially on the quest stand alone version. And in the quest version it would crash after like 2 raids because of ram or storage which needs urgent fix before next playtest
2) the storage/ grabbing needs rework there’s been many cases that I can’t put items into my bag even by putting it into my chest I know the “trick” after 10+ hours but it should feel easy instead of dropping items over and over and I didn’t have a full bag. Also getting arrows is super annoying. I either try to get my sword and I accidentally get arrows or vice versa. Also reorganizing items mid dungeon is annoying there should be a drop option in the bag or potion storage
3) Idk if this is already planned but after playing multiple hours I would hope there is randomly generated dungeons that have different looks rather than the same preset stone walls and same 4 enemies for replay ability
4) this is more nitpicking but the height calibration needs work I’m 5’7 but I’m taller than everyone when I calibrate and when people emote slitting their throat it doesn’t seem like they are calibrated right. I’d also like an are calibration system to just feel more immersed. Also a character customization would also be a cool thing mainly face with sliders.
Overall. In general optimization across steam and quest standalone option need work to improve smoothness and playability. Storage, weapon/ arrow slots and looting need rework to make looting more effortless and comfortable; make in raid organization more effortless and efficient. Hopefully more dungeon types and radomly generated dungeon are planned with new enemies with different unique move sets.
