Helicopter Anti-Torque Control: Thumbstick Alternative to Cyclic Twist
Provide a setting which disables cyclic twist in helicopters and enables use of left thumbstick instead for anti-torque (rotation) control while using virtual cyclic and collective.
The twist stick is not reliable and becomes decentered after a short amount of use. However, it is also sub-optimal for accurate input, as it places three axis on on the cyclic leading to unintended multi axis movements. As rudder pedal support seems unlikely, the next best option for anti-torque is retaining thumbstick control for that axis, which is no less realistic than stick rotation anyway.
Some people also report having poor wrist mobility, and therefore are precluded from using the new virtual controls due to inability to use stick rotation, this solution is simple and would make the controls more accessible.
