Explanation

Movement slows down over time when using Valve Index Controllers.

I am using the Valve Index with the corresponding controllers and regularly experience that my movement speed slows down over time while playing.

When it happens, especially the movement speed forward and backward is reduced up to a significant reduction where you can hardly move at all, in particular in backward direction. It becomes way faster to move sideways than forward or backward, because moving sideways seems to be less effected by the bug. Moving forward though is like constantly moving upwards or maybe through a swamp, and moving backwards may nearly be no movement at all.

Movement speed resets back to normal when I turn off my left controller and turn it back on, which finally verified the issue for me. Redeploying or switching servers yet doesn't help.

This issue is not new and I have experienced it for a (long) while now, but it was difficult for me to track it and to be sure it exists and isn't just a misimpression. I can verify that it has nothing to do with the equipped weapon, but I still don't understand the exact cause of the issue.

I am not exactly sure though if it is a hardware problem of some sort, but it happens only when playing Forefront and seems to be somehow related to the differing movement speeds based on the movement angles. Probably there is something you could do about it or maybe you have some idea how to solve it.
