Steps to Reproduce

  1. Connect Quest 3 to your computer via Steam Link or Virtual Desktop
  2. Launch Forefront via any viable method
  3. Observe splash come up, with EAC logo and "Waiting for game" text
  4. Observe said splash disappear
  5. If using SteamVR and VD, observe SteamVR start up
  6. Fail to observe Forefront opening

Explanation

Game silently crashes after EAC splash-no error message provided. Has happened since the 5.0 update. I thought it was related to EAC detecting stuff, so went through disabling things that had been working previously, verifying files on Steam, reinstalling Forefront, factory resetting and reinstalling EAC, then I saw a notice on the store page that the game (not sure since when) requires Secure Boot and TPM 2.0. I didn't have Secure Boot on, so enabled that in BIOS and rebooted. Still no success.

I'm at a loss as to what else I can try, and the log file doesn't say anything that points me at anything other than a bunch of errors about not finding Meta stuff, which makes sense since this is on Steam, not Meta standalone or Meta PC.

The log file ends with:

"[Subsystems] Loading plugin UnityOpenXR for subsystem OpenXR Input...
<RI> Initializing input.
Using Windows.Gaming.Input
UnloadTime: 0.679100 ms
Crash!!!"

I've tested with Steam Link, Virtual Desktop using SteamVR, Virtual Desktop using VDXR, and none of those are working. I haven't tested with Meta Link, as that historically hasn't worked well with my GPU.
