Steps to Reproduce
- Install an Arch Based Linux Distrobution (One us in tests: Artix Linux with dinit as the init system, popular ones with this bug are also CachyOS)
- Install WiVRn, use OpenComposite as your OpenXR compatibility Layer.
- Connect a meta quest headset via the WiVRn meta Quest app from the official store.
- Launch Forefront with proton 11.0-2 as the compatibility layer.
- Play the game normally, at some point, usually after ~5 minutes, this issue will appear.
Explanation
Severe static in the right eye when streaming from an alternative VR steaming client to SteamVR including, but not limited too WiVRn or ALVR on Linux. More specifically, Arch Based distros such as Artix Linux (Which was used in these tests) or the more popular CachyOS.
Proton 11.0-2 was used in these tests, but seemingly proton version does not matter, and this bug is indiscriminate. This has appeared on the flatpak, and Artix Linux package for steam.
