Explanation
Hello devs,
I just discovered these bug report and feedback channels; they were hidden on my end. So, I'm sharing everything I've reported over the last three weeks; perhaps some things have been fixed since then:
-Please add the ability to ping enemies or objectives.
-When inside a vehicle, if the driver seat becomes free and another player wants to urgently take over, the “change seat” button should prioritize the driver seat rather than cycling through all seats. Similarly, if the mounted gun seat is free, switching seats as the driver should prioritize that seat as well.
-When OpenXR is set to Meta Quest Link, every other VR game launches SteamVR alongside the game (which is helpful for dual-eye view and SteamVR settings). Forefront is the only game that does not trigger SteamVR unless OpenXR is set to SteamVR.
-Another SteamVR issue: the in-game button for accessing the leaderboard, options, and recentering is the same as the SteamVR overlay button. Since SteamVR takes priority, those in-game menus become inaccessible whenever SteamVR is running.
-About sprinting: I’ve been told sprinting already exists by clicking the left joystick, but I honestly see no difference—with or without a weapon. A dedicated sprint button would help a lot. A knife-slot movement bonus or even a physical arm-swing sprint mechanic would also be great.
-Climbing could be more permissive—not necessarily as free as Population: One, but the ability to mantle / vault / climb more objects or structures would be fantastic.
-When leveling up, the earned points display is cropped incorrectly. For example “+2000 points” might only show “+2”.
-The “Angled Grip” reward for the MK4 STRIKER in the Assault class seems strictly worse than earlier unlocks. It has no advantages despite being long to unlock—why?
-I find it a bit unfortunate that we can’t hold a weapon in each hand, even if it would reduce accuracy. VR encourages player freedom, and not being able to grab the pistol with the off-hand breaks immersion a little.
-Similar point for vehicles: only the right hand moves forward and the left hand moves backward. On quads for example, the right handle should control acceleration and the left handle should control reverse, regardless of which hand is holding the handle. This would allow us to drive left-handed and shoot right-handed with better accuracy.
-The sound emitted by the sniper respawn beacon is too loud for teammates. I imagine it's well-balanced for enemies, but for your own team it becomes distracting.
-It seems impossible to create a party to ensure you end up in the same squad as your friends. That would be very helpful.
-It would be great to see who is speaking: an icon next to player names on the leaderboard and above their heads in-game, to know who to mute when necessary.
-Some weapons appear to be identical across different classes (e.g., certain pistols), but progression restarts from level 0. If it's the exact same weapon, it would feel fairer to share progression between classes.
-For “PC Flat” streaming, please allow choosing which eye (left, right, or both) is rendered. Currently it’s locked to the left eye, which looks odd for viewers since I primarily aim with my right eye.
-Please add the ability to honk vehicle horns by tapping the steering wheel or handlebars.
-I don’t think we receive bonus XP for detonating an objective we personally armed. Also, I’m not sure whether defusing grants XP—it may, but I’m not certain, so I wanted to mention it.
-When flying high or far away (e.g., in helicopters), many textures appear black or unloaded, showing voids when looking at the ground.
-A tutorial for each class / weapon / gadget—or at least a menu showing all controls—would be extremely helpful for new players.
-The reloading of the last assault-class rifle is extremely buggy.
