Steps to Reproduce

  1. Upgraded Thunderhead Autocannon with +40% Radiation damage upgrade at the workbench.
  2. Shot into a horde of corespawn.
  3. Observed that the screen was quickly covered in explosive VFX.
  4. Realized that the screen was only blocked if actively hitting a temporary weakpoint.

Explanation

When shooting temporary weakpoints created by Radiation damage, the Thunderhead Autocannon's Explosive VFX plays directly in front of the player camera, completely obscuring vision. When firing on enemies normally (no temporary weakpoint), my screen remained unobscured and the explosive VFX played at their point of impact.
