Unable to Place Disposable Sentry Turrets After Level Three

Steps to Reproduce

1. Started a D3 Six-Level Run as Spotter
2. In Level 3, picked up blue rarity Disposable Sentry Turrets from the equipment box that was the green modifier for that level
3. Started placing turrets
4. Placed three turrets in level three
5. Placed only two turrets in levels four and five
6. Placed only one turret in level six

Explanation

I stopped being able to place "Disposable Sentry Turret"
Equipping the item showed the turret in the blue outline, but left clicking did not allow me to place the turrets anywhere.
I think the times when I was able to place two on level four and five, I was able to place the second only after the first had run out of ammunition. Previously, on level three I had been able to place both at the same time (to defend the generator).
I placed the one on level six in the opening room to overwatch me while I explored that room, but I don't think it ran out of ammunition before I moved to the next room, and that's when I found I couldn't place another. I made it all the way to the boss room and still couldn't place any turrents.
