Save File Reset and Restore Save Button Failure After PC Crash

Steps to Reproduce

1. I closed the game as normal but my PC crashed shortly after (seems to have come from an issue with my GPU drivers)
2. I forced my PC to shutdown as it was frozen after the crash
3. I then rebooted the game and my savefile had reset to the tutorial
4. I still can see my save in the SAVES tab in-game but clicking the restore button does nothing

Explanation

My save file has been reset and the restore save button doesn't work.
it happened as i closed the game shortly before my pc crashed.
i will try to fiddle with the game files with the guidance that Sealo:3 left on the discord about this issue in order to fix my save
