Explanation

Recurring Bug with the Reaperworm During Elevator Sequence

I've had two cases of this bug happen so far. It has a chance of happening and I'm not exactly sure why it still persists, but I could explain it like so. I also had my first issue two weeks ago but I didn't have GitHub account and did not care for it.

My Steam username is ''Tengizka I'' and I did report this on the Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core Steam Discussions page before.

During the Elevator Sequence, after the timer reaches critical and Reaperworms pop out, when a player gets snatched by them, we have a chance where the same elevator that arrives won't close and have us progress. This causes us to fight Core Spawn to the last drop of blood while boxed. Effectively having us fail because the game calculated wrong.

We tried reviving or finding captured players, but they are gone, their cameras (once we are downed and in spectator mode) show them inside of walls at the start of the level. Falconer cannot bring them back up or see them either.

Even when someone not arrested by the Reaperworms dies, the elevator will refuse to function with the remaining players already stationed inside. Causing the last dwarf to either go out and get obliterated with glory, or having the host abort the mission in disbelief.

I assume the game thinks the removed players are still alive, along with downed ones after the first capture, either during the time when the elevator is being raised or it is something else.

It is an obnoxious error that is not player-sided and happens to be very unpredictable. Currently, the best we can do is to avoid Reaperworms entirely. I'm looking forward to Rogue Core's next patch and I hope this bug gets stomped soon.
