Equipment Loss on Network Switch in Online Session

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Join an online session with another party as a host
  2. Verify that you have received gear in game
  3. Leave session and switch to a new network
  4. Rejoin through the in game server menu
  5. Repeat step 2
  6. If problem doesn't occur, repeat step 3
  7. Wait for your team to move on to the next layer
  8. Repeat step 4 and step 2

Explanation

weapons, traversal tools, and grenades disapeared upon being disconnected from host for a prolonged time in online session. however, after being forced out due to a different network error, the equipment I received form the workbench remained. I have not attempted to reproduce. I suspect an issue involving my device changing networks, but being able to rejoin because my account matched. the fact that my team moved on to the next area could have affected the games sequence for providing gear. A potential temporary fix could be to check a joining player (after returning the players gear) for gear, then if no gear is there, give the player all new random gear (as if a new player joined after the party got their starting equipment).
