Explanation

Can't use or hear voice chat.
I can't hear my friend and he can't hear me. I'm using push-to-talk and have the button set to Q. My mic works for other games.

I am on CachyOS (linux).
I notice that in the Audio options, it correctly detects Pulse Audio as my Audio Output Source, and I can hear in-game audio fine. When I look at the Voice Chat Input/Output sources though, it just says "Default", and when unclicking "Use default device", I can't select any other options, which leads me to suspect that those menu items aren't detecting my audio devices.
