Game unresponsive during loading screen transition

Steps to Reproduce

1. Spam enter to try and type/send something as the screen was fading to black.
2. Observe the exact transition from the loading screen with the stages, players, and the elevator in the background to loading into the elevator in the next stage.
3. Notice the screen change resolution size.
4. Attempt to move but find that movement is no longer possible.

Explanation

the game wasnt responding to any inputs. couldnt walk, text, speak or anything else.
I could still see the cursor in game but it wouldnt move my crosshair
