Explanation
existence of "phantom game servers"
TLDR: game no worky because of fake servers. please help i want to get back to shooting lovecraftian horrors from the depths of space :(
launched player lobbies that appear to be joinable but show the error message "Join Failed; Session Does Not Exist Any Longer".
lobbies seem to have been running for several hours and do not seem to be AFK (due to the aforementioned error message). on a concerning note, though possibly unrelated to the issue, no servers currently available to me are joinable, with some active missions apparently under a similar state of existence.
I've tried turning off the software and turning it back on -- the problem persists and has been going on for almost 24 hours as of writing.
unfortunately, I am personally at a loss as to what the cause of this problem is. I assume it is a server-side issue, maybe a bug associated with the upcoming patch.
