Discrepancy in ping between server browser and in-game lobby

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open server browser
2. Note ping of server you wish to join
3. Note ping after joining

Explanation

Ping is much higher after joining lobby compared to looking at browser. I joined this lobby (I'm in australia and this server was listed as US), the server browser showed 206ms ping, but after joining i had 350ms ping which is a huge jump. I've noticed other large jumps as well, recently a China server displayed as ~150 but had over 300 when i joined. Not sure whether this is representative of ping being too high or server browser displaying too low
