when i shot a zipline it just attached itself to the air a couple meters away from me

Zipline did not travel any length of distance and showed grounding spike in mid air when trying to zipline up to cave progression

I attempted to shoot a zipline to get a resupply, and it just stuck mid-air halfway there.

Zipline doesn't seem to be actually working. I fire it and it just gets stuck in the air for some reason. As you can see from the picture it has happened several times in a row.
