Steam Overlay Causes Lag, Black Screen, and Crash

Steps to Reproduce

1. Progress to a floor (or possibly on the drop pod)
2. Right as it's actually restoring movement
3. Open steam overlay

Explanation

Forgot the Steam overlay lags games when it opens and did so right as I was loading into the next floor. Black screened for ~30 seconds, then crashed. Voice chat did still work, though, and I was able to rejoin the mission.
