Improvements to Controller Aim Assist, Maps/Mechs, Gunplay, and Movement Mechanics
Hello, just got this game on console drop day, and you’ll be a great titanfall competitor, but there’s a few things I’d like to see so u can make that a success.
First, controller aim assist, there feels like a big unbalanced between mouse and keyboard on controllers. Being able to have slightly stickier aim well mantaining speed and momentum would make the game feel smoother, right now the ability to customize dead zones and aiming is very minimum on console.
Second, Maps and Mechs. I put these two together because the maps feel very small almost too small. Most titanfall maps were two or three times as big, which brings me to the mechs. Only having two on the map at the same time only a few times a game really takes away the focus on them and lack of customization hurts. They lose health very quickly and have no real counter against the sledgehammer. Which is a cool idea but like anti titan weapons just better and versatile for gameplay reasons.
Third, Gunplay the guns feel very week for how slow TTK is well the carbine is more rewarding for hitting shots using assault rifles and smgs feel underpowered even with max attachments on there, the ability to only add 2 and not have a perk too add more kinda s**** too. The perk slots should be interchangeable aswell really takes away from creative combinations. The TTK in the game feels very slow especially without proper aim down sites, I miss the ability to look down iron sites or scopes well wall running or floating in air, ik your building a seperate brand but it really takes away the feel of titanfall the community base is looking for.
Fourth is movement, I love the speed and jump paint and love the grapple, but two cons come into mind the grapple feels very arch like which could be intended but feels off when trying to make specific movement it’s very loose movement instead of direct aim and pulled too which makes grappling kinda a** for moving. Aswell as how the grapple hook detaches I should be able to start jet packing and auto degrapple. Use up close seems very off it doesn’t pull u like I was saying and almost kills all moment instead of pulling me down for speed or into cover it stops my nonevent completely. Grapples and paint should be full at each spawn just like titanfall had not refilling still after I died and spawn with one grapple! Sliding also hinders movement if I’m coming out of a grapple to go into slide either the ability to slide should be longer or be more fluid but it usually kills all momentum and gets me killed standing there trying to grapple out of the situation, also sprinting should cancel slide, stops the ability of combining movement styles. Grapple also kills movement speed sometimes and lack of wall running connection. I run next too a wall and I don’t connect mid air and lose all jet pack.
There’s alot of amazing opportunities this game can fill and I’m excited to see you successful, I liked the original Splitgate the most. If anyone made it this far thank you for reading and hope to see some implementations. Thank you and cheers
