well im pretty sure its bugged since i manually gripped and used mercy kill multiple times so

Probably is bugged, just make the senior ticket and in the meanwhile you can try to mercy kill other trainers to see if it works

all the other trainers worked fine for me

you should go back and verify that all the trainers except the shadow one are dead

im pretty sure i saw a report a while ago about specifically the shadow trainer respawning so it could be just that
