Explanation

also this is an issue where you ran into them and 'pushed' them behind you which moved them out of the hitbox. Client side visual issue (delayed)

There's different hitbox methods but deepwoken i'm 99% sure uses spatial queries for m1s at least, which are really performant if you only include the collisiongroup where the players are in For fang and coil crit it should be the same with how it looks, but im just guessing For good practices I really can't tell you since it depends from person to person, but a general rule is putting as less load on the server as possible
