Dear Deepwoken Development Team,
We, the members of the Deepwoken community, feel compelled to express not only our disappointment but also our growing resentment toward the current state of development and bug fixing within the game. It has become painfully clear that your priorities are misaligned with the needs of the players who dedicate countless hours to your creation.
Time and again, we see minor exploits that happen to benefit players—such as the smokescreen cheese or noclip glitches—patched with remarkable speed and efficiency. Yet when it comes to truly gamebreaking issues that destroy the integrity of gameplay, your silence and inaction are deafening. Chaser’s waves remain undodgeable, robbing players of any fair counterplay. The Shrine in the Depths, once a meaningful part of exploration and progression, is now inaccessible, stripping away a core element of the experience. VOI bugs continue to plague the game, undermining immersion and stability. These are not small inconveniences; they are fundamental flaws that make the game feel broken.
The community cannot help but feel that your actions demonstrate a disregard for player enjoyment. By focusing on eliminating minor advantages while ignoring the problems that ruin the game, you send the message that you care more about restricting players than about fixing the systems that are collapsing around them. This approach is not only misguided—it is insulting.
We are tired of watching the game we love deteriorate while the development team appears indifferent to the issues that matter most. The frustration has grown into anger, and the disappointment into distrust. If this pattern continues, you risk alienating the very community that has supported Deepwoken since its inception.
