Explanation
When spawning after wiping in vow of iron your armour will be at 0%. This is very noticeable on mementos like Prince of The Moon. Temp fix: after wiping, enter the character creation menu then press the door on the top left to return to the slot selection. Re-select the slot and select VOI again and you will spawn with armour
How to tell when it's bugged: Your character should show white cloth armour instead of what they're supposed to be wearing, regardless of what memento you click on.

a good temp fix for this is actually selecting another memento then selecting the one you want
doesn't seem to solve the problem for me
but if it does work for others and yourself thank you for sharing it here <3
