i would also agree with the skill-based matchmaking to a certain extent, only when we have region matchmaking working really well, then skill based can be added

honestly you can solve this by blocking en masse and hoping roblox makes you a new server

but in my experience it just makes another server outside of your local region

ive lowkey got to escape depths but it is not happening with 150 ping on a dagger build

in my personal experience you can get a server of your region during midnight at your time

by then roblox server has died down somewhat freeing all the used server of your region

in the test game this also happens to me, servers I create are virginia despite me being in the EU

and we do not have any custom matchmaking set up there

This became ALOT worse after the update tho, i have been queing virginia for ages in chime and such because of roblox but there was always eu servers that i could join but every eu server has over 20 players in them rn even in overworld only after the matchmaking update

it does moost gaves ive played that have a server list dont have alot of a single region while others have 1 or even none did encounter some that had majority of the servers be NA but moost of them had an equal amount or a slightly smaller or larger amount

the thing is according to roblox this system shoud not affect matchmaking region wise but you can really trust them

well the funny thing is that we placed the highest priority in our custom matchmaking on latency

so if anything custom matchmaking should be helping rather than hurting

yea the only thing there is latency which should affect it at all and if its on highest weight it just doesnt really make sense

well it depends on how much you get virginia servers before this update mainly i would get not eu servers like 1/8 cases

I can try removing the weighting for latency on custom matchmaking to see if it improves

the final decision on matchmaking (quick join) is something we cannot rule

hence why in the past we always said we cannot influence it

now we can, but you've seen that custom matchmaking weightings arent foolproof either
